Affiliated centres

Sephis channels its activities through five ‘affiliated centres’ in different regions of the Global South:

*Council for the Development of Social Science Research in Africa (CODESRIA) in Dakar, Senegal
Website: www.codesria.org

*Centro de Estudos Afro-Orientais (CEAO) of the Federal University of Salvador de Bahia, Brazil
Website: www.ceao.ufba.br
Sephis coordinator: Alyxandra Gomes Nuñes alyxandragomes@yahoo.com.br

*Centre for Studies in Social Sciences, Calcutta (CSSSC) in Kolkata, India
Website: www.cssscal.org

*Instituto de Estudios Peruanos (IEP) in Lima, Peru
Website: www.iep.org.pe
Sephis coordinator: Rosa Vera Solano Rosa@iep.org.pe

*Southeast Asian Studies Regional Exchange Programme (SEASREP) in Manila, The Philippines
Website: www.seasrepfoundation.org
Sephis coordinator: Imelda Adante melds@seasrepfoundation.org

The intellectual and stakeholder input of the affiliated centres runs via the local coordinators. They initiate and implement South-South activities that cover the full range of thematic concerns of the programme. The coordinators are in charge of organizing workshops and lecture tours, disseminating information, maintaining collaborative links with other institutions and individual participants in an international setting, and expanding the Sephis network to less privileged academic environments.
